17. Educational Technology Training on Effective Use of Smartboards and Tab Computers
Currently, the main problem that has been identified in the current friendly classrooms and tab computer projects is the lack of understanding among the educational staff about how to use these devices as an effective tool to achieve learning, rather than not knowing the technology to use such devices. Therefore, a formal training matching with educational principles and technology (International Pedagogical) has been planned together with the Information and Communication Technology Unit of the Southern Province Education Department and the Education Development Division.
- Training Period: 05 Days - Planned in the next two weeks or in the same week
- Target Group: The members of the Education Management Committee headed by the Principal, Deputy Principal of these schools
The teachers who carry out the learning and teaching process in these schools
For this, as Educational Management and Educational Technology in the 21st Century (Educational Management and Educational Technology in the 21st Century) and for the principal-led educational management team.
2. Classroom Learning Teaching Process and Twenty First Century Educational Technology for Teachers
Two course modules are designed.
Subject Contents:
- Introduction to Blended learning and management
- Classroom and school ICT hardware
- Troubleshooting Information and Communication Technology in relation to school
- Internet and Cloud Computing
- Simple application software that can be used for education
- Graphics Software
- Word processing (MS Word, Google doc.)
- Presentations with Collaborative Teaching (MS PowerPoint. Google slide, Prez Keeping learning record -spreadsheets)
- Development of subject content and assessment models in a learning management system (Wisdom Cloud LMS, Google for Education)
- Student portfolio in learning management system
- School level research methodology for effective regulation of effective classroom functioning and learning teaching.
Training for the Management Teams:
All external regulatory groups that support the school should be informed about this new educational approach and training programs on Educational Management and Educational Technology in the 21st Century should be prepared for them and all parties should be aware. It has the ability to prevent misuse and misuse of equipment. One of the main weaknesses that we see today is that the school related parties are not aware of the changes that are being made, so that the equipment is not being used correctly in the school.
